DSIK and the Empowerment of Sustainability: Green Finance Training of Trainers in Bangkok

In a landmark event held in Bangkok, participants from all current project countries across Asia of the German Sparkassenstiftung (DSIK), including Bhutan, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Mongolia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, converged at the end of October 2023 for an intensive 5-day Green Finance Training of Trainers (ToT) program. The focus of this gathering was a comprehensive exploration of DSIK solutions geared towards fostering sustainable banking practices.

Lecturer Dr. Tobias Peylo, who was credited with the creation of tools the Green Finance Compass and the ESG Risk Radar, delivered informative sessions emphasizing the crucial need to realign global banking systems with sustainability at their core. His engaging explanation equipped participants with the necessary skills to seamlessly integrate the two DSIK tools in partner organizations.

The audience was full of praise for the lectures,  and expressed deep motivation and enthusiasm to apply the newly gained knowledge.
