DSIK and Ho Chi Minh University of Banking signed cooperation agreement to promote financial education in Vietnam

October 3, 2024 - at the main hall of Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking (HUB), the cooperation between HUB and the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK) was made official by a signing ceremony. In the presence of senior representatives from both organizations, staff, faculty members representing HUB’s subordinate departments, and nearly 100 students from the university, the focuses of the cooperation were announced, which include strengthening financial knowledge and capacity building.

 

During the signing ceremony, HUB’s rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung highlighted the key areas that the partnership will focus on developing for the period 2024 - 2027. These include improving financial knowledge, enhancing training on financial management, sustainable finance, digital finance, and encouraging innovation in business.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Christian Grajek, Southeast Asia Coordinator of DSIK emphasized future cooperation plans with a focus on financial education and capacity building for students and banking professionals through the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and HUB.

This agreement marks an important step in continuing to expand the partnership between the two organizations. All parties involved expressed strong confidence in the future of this cooperative relationship.
