The first Micro Finance Institution (MFI) Management Simulation event in 2022 in Vietnam ended with full of emotions and memories.
The chain of Strategic Management of MFI event was held by the German Sparkassenstiftung (DSIK). The MFI Simulation lasted for 4 days from the 12th to the 15th of April 2022, and attracted the attendance of manager-level representatives from DSIK’s partner organizations: Tinh Thuong Microfinance Institution (TYM), Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) and Micro Insurance Fund (MIF). In this special first MFI Simulation event, DSIK also brought a special activity! – that one team was formed by DSIK’s staffs in Hanoi office joining as participants.
The MFI Management is one of the four Business Games invented and implemented by DSIK. What makes the MFI Management Simulation special is that it is a computer-based simulation. This allows an interactive learning methodology with a focus on transferring dry theory into concrete practical exercises.

With such goals, the MFI Management Game being held this April was a success when it received positive feedbacks from all participants. Many participants who are actual manager-levels in their MFIs expressed that they could bring actual experience from this training to their current daily work, and even have a direction to improve current issues.
