Thailand - Empowering the Future Generation with Money Management Skills

In mid-May, the time had finally come: the first Money Management for Schools training sessions was successfully implemented in Thailand.

In the province of Nong Bua Lampoo, a team of experienced trainers joined forces with around 50 enthusiastic students on May 18th and 19th. DSIK-long-term expert Jana Twesten was on site and draws a positive balance: "The students put their heart and soul into their training. All the students have already gained their first experience of handling money. Be it with their pocket money or even their first mini-jobs such as delivering meals and online businesses. The training was a great platform for the young people to share their first own experiences and learn new things about dealing with money.”

The Money Management for Schools Training is a one-day training and takes place at local schools.

The training is tailored to the needs of young people and covers topics such as the analysis of individual and family income and expenditure. In addition, the focus is also directed to the future and topics relating to financial goals, savings, and financial pressure are discussed together with the students. The training will be implemented piece by piece in Thailand's schools in the Isaan region. Further trainings are already planned for June and July.
