On June 4th 2022, the Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) was the first partner of DSIK to hold the Launching Ceremony of the World Savings Day 2022. The representatives from the German Sparkassenstiftung DSIK Vietnam has attended and made an opening speech for the event.
In the event, honored guests were invited by the VWA: Ms. Anna Szalwicki – representative from DSIK, Junior Regional Coordinator South East Asia; Associate Prof. PhD Tran Quang Tien – Director of the Vietnam Women’s Acadamy; along with Heads of VWA’s departments and over two hundreds of students of the eleven majors of the Academy.
The ceremony was started with the launching announcement and the chain of activities from now to the 31st of October (the World Savings Day), including:
- Organization of the Talkshow about Financial Management for students.
- Implementation of the Exhibition on collecting materials and model related to Finance.
- Communication activities about the World Savings Day 2022 on the VWA’s website, social media platforms, and other possible communication channels.
- Creation of documentary about WSD in the VWA
- Celebration event of WSD on the 31st of October 2022
During this Launching Ceremony, Ms. Anna Szalwicki and Associate Prof. PhD Tran Quang Tien signed the Action Commitment on the activities of the World Savings Day 2022.
The World Savings Day 2022, which is also the 2nd time in Vietnam, is planned to be an impactful event. DSIK is hoping to create more immense influence about savings in Vietnam, also to set the stronger base for upcoming years. To make this happen, along with VWA, DSIK Vietnam has also cooperated with other partners that are universities from north to south of the country: University of Economics and Business - Vietnam National University (VNU), Ho Chi Minh City Banking University (HUB), Vietnam Banking Academy (VBA).
The topic for WSD 2022 is “Sustainable Savings” along with the slogan “Save to Save the future”. The activities from partners of DSIK will be implemented from now until the 31st of October 2022. Under the same topic, and the same purpose of bringing benefits and acknowledgment about Savings to the students, the other partners (VNU, HUB and VBA) are also in process of planning, and more exciting activities are yet to come!
