The German Sparkassenstiftung (DSIK) offers short-term assignments in some project countries to high potential staff members of the Sparkassen Finance Group. This exchange program supports the mission of DSIK to bring sector relevant knowledge to the world and the experiences of the project work back to the Savings Banks.
Tina Landsmann, a project manager at the Sparkasse Chemnitz, was selected to support the management of Lao’s Women and Family Development Fund (WFDF), a rural microfinance institution, to institutionalize performance measurement. During the two months in Laos, she was leading the development of a Scorecard which helps the institution to assess performance in a structured manner and taking action with the respective managers if need be.
This assignment forms part of an institution building project to gradually strengthen organizational structures, management performance and governance. It will be complemented with long-distance learning courses and staff exchanges across the regional project.
